TURING THE NEXT GEN SECUIRTY SMARTPHONE(AksisTech)

The Turing Phone is still in the prototype stage, but it looks and feels like something from the future. No thanks to the hardware: the 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor isn't exactly state of the art, and the 5.5-inch 1,920x1,080 pixel display pales in comparisons to flagship devices like the 5.1-inch Samsung Galaxy S6 or the 5.5-inch LG G4 -- both of those offer 2,560x1,440 pixel resolutions. It is by no means a bad display, and while my time was admittedly brief I didn't see any glaring issues -- this is a prototype model, however, so we'll need to wait and see.
The phone a little heavier than my Nexus 6 but certainly not onerous, and far easier to slip into a pocket. The SIM card slot that sits on the left side of the device is the only real point of entry for dirt or grime, as there are no other holes on the phone. It charges by way of the "Wallaby Magstream" magnetic power cable that looks curiously like an Apple MagSafe 2 plug. The 3,000mAh battery isn't removable, and you'll need to pair a Bluetooth headset for audio, as there's no 3.5mmheadphone jack.

The Turing Phone's frame is made up of the liquid-metal alloy that the company is calling "liquidmorphium." It's an amorphous alloy of zirconium, copper, aluminum, nickel and silver that's supposedly stronger than steel, but cheaper and more efficient to produce than titanium. I'm not a fan of jargony buzzwords, but this liquidmorphium stuff is interesting; it feels like glass, and when polished down it takes on a mirror-finish. The liquid metal frame is also something of a fingerprint magnet, so it's probably a good thing that the 5.5-inch screen has a very narrow bezel. There's a fingerprint reader on the left side of the phone, in a perfect spot for your thumb. I'm a lefty so it makes perfect sense to me, but I imagine right-handed folk might be a little confused, at first.
The phone is available in Beowulf (left), Pharaoh (center) and Cardinal (right).Josh Miller/CNET
The back of the phone is made of a tough plastic, and houses the near-field communications (NFC) chip. There will also be a few color options to choose from: the Beowulf model offers blue accents, and its plastic back is textured to look like a serpent's skin; the Pharaoh model offers gold accents. I'm partial to Cardinal, a simple red-and-white affair that would look at home in Neo Tokyo, or some other cyberpunk setting.
Hydrophobic nano-coating will keep the phone's innards safe from splashes.turing phone service
The phone is also using "Binnacle Ocean Master" nano-coating technology to waterproof their device. The naming scheme gives me pause, but hydrophobic nano-coating is nothing new -- we've seen examples of the technology used to protect phones in the past.
The technology goes beyond weather-sealing: your average ruggedized phone relies on a tightly sealed chassis to keep water from getting in and mucking up the works. In the Turing Phone's case, I was told that all of the phone's innards are waterproofed, so submersion becomes a non-issue. The phone has an IPX8 rating, and Turing claims that the phone has been left underwater for up to 24 hours without issue. The Xperia Z4 that Sony recently announced also boasts an IPX8 rating-, whileSamsung's Galaxy S6 Active has an IP68

PROS

A sturdy chassis and waterproofed innards are great, but remember -- the point of the Turing Phone is security, and testing those claims will be difficult. It all revolves around the Turing Imitation Key, which attempts to constrain public-key cryptography onto the phone. It's a complex subject, but simple to understand: a "public key matrix" is paired with your private key, and both remain on your phone, offline. When someone wants to communicate with you securely, they'll be able to use your public key to encrypt it, and only your private key will be able to decrypt that message.
The difference, Turing Robotics says, is that this is all happening on the phone's hardware -- other mobile-encryption services rely on transmitting data to and from third-party services. Turing's imitation Key handles all of the work right on the phone, which theoretically means there's no chance for malcontents to sabotage the encryption or decryption processes. But we've all heard the term "hacker-proof" before.
We only got to see a mockup of the Turing UI -- the phone currently runs stock Android Lollipop.cnet source pic freely used by us
The final question revolves around the software. The devices they saw were running stock versions of Android 5.1 Lollipop, but the final version will have a custom Turing interface running on top of Android. Being based on Android seems to run at odds with the hyper-secure platform Turing Robotics is aiming for, particularly since you'll still have access to Google Play Services and the app store. We'll just have to wait and see what Turing has in store.

PRICES AND AVALIBILITY

The Turing Phone will start shipping later this year, and it'll be available for preorder on July 31 -- there will only be 10,000 units available, to start. It's available in three capacities at three price points: there's a 16GB model that will sell for $610 (£391, AU$798); a 64GB version that will sell for $740 (£474, AU$969); and the 128GB model, which will cost $870 (£580 and AU$1,120). In an attempt to sweeten the deal, Turing Robotic Industries is offering a "bonus accessories package" to folks who preorder. which will include a mobile Bluetooth keyboard, earphones, a Bluetooth headset and a mobile gaming controller.

The problem is still with phone prices and availibility in india whether we can get our hands on it .

We will update more info till then stay tuned.

UBUNTU PHONES WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (AksisTech)

The first 'production' smartphone running the Ubuntu operating system is finally here. Designed and marketed by the Spanish company BQ (not to be confused with the Chinese company BQ Mobile) and made in China, the first Ubuntu Phone is based on the 4.5-inch BQ Aquaris E4.5, which normally ships with Android 4.4. Included with the BQ Aquaris E4.5 Ubuntu Edition are two copies of the quick-start guide (in four languages each, one of the eight being English), a charger (with a built-in two-pin continental mains plug) and a 1-metre USB-to-Micro-USB cable. A comprehensive User Manual is available for download from the BQ website. The list price for the Aquaris E4.5 Ubuntu Edition, which is only available in the EU, is €169.90 (~£125).

The 4.5-inch BQ Aquaris E4.5 Ubuntu Edition phone has a screen resolution of 540 by 960 pixels (240ppi). It measures 67mm wide by 137mm deep by 9mm thick and weighs 123g. Image: BQ

BQ started off in 2009 as Booq, designing and manufacturing e-readers. In 2010 the brand name was changed to BQ (owned by Mundo Reader SL). The company now designs and manufactures a range of e-readers, mobile phones, tablets, 3D printers and educational robots.

WHAT IT IS AND WHAT IT'S NOT

Before delving into the operation of the phone itself, let's be clear about what this phone is, and what it is not.
The BQ Aquaris E4.5 Ubuntu Edition is a moderately specified smartphone (240ppi screen, 1.3GHz MediaTek SoC, 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage, 802.11b/g/n wi-fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, HSPA+), running Ubuntu (for Phones) as its operating system, that retails at an affordable price. It demonstrates that Ubuntu (for Phones) doesn't need cutting-edge high-specification hardware to run, and it allows early adopters to buy an Ubuntu phone at a relatively low entry point (around £125). As it stands, Canonical acknowledges that Ubuntu (for Phones) is a work in (rapid) progress and is not yet fully formed and ready for the mass market.

i have still not reviewed the phones myself these info is based on the sources i get stay tune and stay updated we will come with more of what we get from sources

  PART 1

note:the brief may differ from the products avail in india but it atmost the same so you will learn more about what you buy.
THE CPU AMD A10 FM2+ APU

AMD’s A-series processors have long impressed us with their combination of strong desktop performance and powerful built-in 3D graphics. The latest iteration is codenamed "Kaveri", and is the best yet. Kaveri chips differ from previous A-series processors in that their processing cores are the latest "Steamroller" versions, which are based on a 28nm process.
There have also been some tweaks to the graphics architecture. The processors’ graphics cores and central processing unit (CPU) cores have equal access to system memory and equal flexibility to create and execute work. This means developers can potentially use all the computing cores of a Kaveri processor to make full use of the chip’s processing power. The promise is faster desktop processing and better performance in games.
The AMD A10-7850K is the top model in AMD’s Kaveri line-up, and it has four cores and no less than eight graphics cores. It runs at a typical clock speed of 3.7GHz but can boost to 4GHz. To use the A10-7850K you'll need to use an FM2+ motherboard, which means you can’t just use an existing FM2 board and swap out your Richland or Trinity processor for a Kaveri chip. The good news is that you can use a Trinity or Richland processor in an FM2+ motherboard, so if you don’t have funds for both a motherboard and CPU upgrade right now you can always upgrade your motherboard first and then your processor later.
AMD A10-7850K
The A10-7850K scored 73 overall in our multimedia benchmarks, which consist of challenging image-processing, video-editing and multitasking tasks. Our reference Intel "Ivy Bridge" Core i5-3570K scored 100, showing the processor isn't cutting-edge in these tasks, but it's still easily quick enough for desktop applications, such as photo editors and word processors. You'll even be able to indulge in a bit of light video editing, but don't expect to produce a 4K masterpiece in a hurry. This score is the same as the Intel Core i3-4340 managed, but Intel's chip is currently £10 more expensive.
The A10-7850K offers plenty of graphics power thanks to its built-in 720MHz, eight-core graphics processor. The A10-7850K produced an average frame rate of 50fps in Dirt Showdown at a resolution of 1,280x720 and graphics quality set to High. We conducted this test with our reference RAM running at 1,600MHz. When we used AMD’s Gamer Series memory running at 2,133MHz the average frame rate increased to an impressive 57.6fps with a minimum frame rate of 45fps. If you want to use the A10-7850K’s on-die graphics processor for playing 3D games, it’s certainly beneficial to use a higher-frequency memory kit. These score compare very favourably with those from the Intel HD Graphics 4600 chipset in Intel's Haswell chips, which max out at just 32fps in this test.
There's no doubt the A10-7850K’s performance in the Dirt Showdown benchmarks is excellent when you consider it’s delivered by an on-die graphics processor. It's even possible to enjoy a spot of 1080p gaming with this processor. At a resolution of 1,920x,1080 and with graphics quality set to High, the A10-7850K produced an average frame rate of 34.3fps, with a minimum frame rate of 27.9fps.
Predictably, more graphically challenging games such as Crysis 3 will prove too much for the A10-7850K’s graphics processor. At a resolution of 1,280x720 with graphics quality set to Low the A10-7850K produced an average frame rate of 24fps, with a peak frame rate of 31fps and a low of 24fps. That isn’t really a playable frame rate in this very challenging title, but it isn’t bad for a processor’s built-in graphics chip but when we combine 12 cores with a dedicated gpu its a power
that you always wanted .

THE GPU SAPPHIRE AMD/ATI R9 270x

Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) has been keeping us extremely busy launching new graphics cards and this week is no different. AMD announced the Radeon R9 270 graphics card this morning at the $179.99 price point. This is the sixth video card that AMD has added to the Radeon R7 and R9 series of  video cards since October! This ‘new’ card is interesting as it reduces the entry price into the high-end R9 series down to the $179 price point and uses the same exact Pitcarin GPU found on the AMD Radeon R9 270X!

AMD R9 Series Lineup
The AMD Radeon R9 270 is pretty much the same thing as the Radeon R9 270X, but it features a lower GPU clock speed and power envelope. The AMD Radeon R9 270X had a typical board power of 180 Watts and required two 6-pin PCIe power connectors.  The new AMD Radeon R9 270 has a typical board power of just 150 Watts, which means it can get away with a single 6-pin PCIe power connector.  This is significant as many older systems and the vast majority of store bought systems can only handle a modest discrete graphics card.

Typical Board Power 150W 180W 175W
The AMD Radeon R9 270X was clocked at 1050 MHz on the core and 1400 MHz on the GDDR5 memory. The new AMD Radeon R9 270 runs at 925 MHz on the core and 1400 MHz on the GDDR5 memory. This means the core clock speed has been lowered 75MHz, which is right around a 7% clock speed reduction from the R9 270X.  The lowered clock speed means that the card has just 2.37 TFLOPS of compute performance versus 2.69TFLOPS before. This is a decrease of 11.9-percent, so it looks like lowering the clock speeds and board power will certainly have an impact on gaming performance and thus the $20 price cut.

THE RAM CORSAIR VENGEANCE 8GB

we took a look at a high performance 8GB 2000MHz Crucial Ballistix dual channel memory kit.  The Ballistix impressed us with its synthetic benchmark scores and integrated temperature sensor, and the kit came with a $119.99 price tag direct from Crucial.  Today we are evaluating another memory kit that aims at a much different segment of the enthusiast hardware market.

The Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR3 1600 CL9 memory kit comes in what Corsair calls “Cerulean Blue”, which Corsair claims is designed to match the color found on motherboards supporting 2nd Generation Intel Core Sandy Bridge processors.  To our eyes, this particular shade of blue is only found on ASUS motherboards, although other manufacturers such as Gigabyte and MSI do offer motherboards with blue accents.

Corsair 8GB 1600 C9 back packaging

The kit arrived in a well-designed retail box with much of the relevant information about this RAM clearly visible including the 9-9-9-24 timings at a voltage of 1.5V as well as the lifetime warranty.  However, we do think it is important for Corsair to disclose on the packaging that this kit runs at a default command rate of 2T, which we will discuss more later in this article.  Once the package was opened, we immediately noticed the impressive blue heat spreaders covering both modules.

Corsair 8GB 1600 C9 Memory modules
Corsair has been designing high speed performance memory for 17 years and claims to have more experience designing enthusiast memory than any other memory company in the industry.  Corsair’s memory is very popular throughout the industry, with product lines covering everything from low budget OEM desktops to the mainstream XMS lines to the high end Dominator series.  The Dominator series in particular has been very popular with enthusiasts, prompting Corsair to offer a performance product at a slightly lower price point, the Vengeance line, as described on Corsair’s website:
“Corsair Vengeance DDR3 memory modules are designed with overclockers in mind. Vengeance DIMMs are built using RAM specially selected for their high-performance potential.  Aluminum heat spreaders help dissipate heat, and provide the aggressive look that you want in your gaming rig.  As a bonus, the attractive low price of Vengeance memory will also leave lots of room in your system build budget.”
High performance RAM at a low price sounds like an ideal combination, but fancy heat spreaders alone aren’t enough to satisfy the needs of most overclockers.
Corsair CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B Memory Kit Key Features:
  • 4GB density per module
  • DDR3 240-pin DIMM
  • PC3-12800 (1600 MHz)
  • 9-9-9-24 2T Timings
  • 1.50 Volts
  • Optimized for the Intel 2nd Generation Sandy Bridge platforms
  • Cerulean Blue Heat Spreaders
  • Lifetime Warranty
